CVS Beauty Mark | Beauty Unaltered

What does beauty unaltered mean to you? For me, it means loving and accepting my skin no matter what. Even when I notice my acne scars in pictures or feel insecure about my combination skin that can seem impossible to figure out. That’s why I’m so excited to be partnering with CVS Beauty for the Beauty Mark initiative.

Beauty Unaltered

Last year, CVS announced a commitment to create new standards for beauty imagery and introduced the CVS Beauty Mark that will be used to highlight imagery that hasn’t been materially altered. It is so exciting to see images in the CVS aisles that have the Beauty Mark on them (which means they are not altered in any way) or that clearly says “Digitally Altered” so that we know what we are looking at!”

Sometimes we forget that the images of celebrities and models that we compare ourselves to have been edited.  How can we have a healthy self-image when we are comparing ourselves to unrealistic standards? That’s why I am so proud to partner with CVS and shop there regularly.

In addition to offering their shoppers transparency with the images in their stores and online, CVS offers the latest and greatest brands you know and love as well as new, emerging brands. From tried and true brands like Covergirl and Revlon to new K-Beauty brands, CVS has its finger on the pulse of what beauty lovers want. And if you want to earn rewards every time you shop, joining the CVS Beauty Club! It is the fastest way to earn rewards. When you spend $30 on beauty products, you receive $3 back.

Here is a list of some of my favorite products from CVS that I love and use every day:

So,  I hope you will join me in supporting the CVS Beauty Mark initiative. We deserve a more authentic and transparent standard of beauty imagery. Let’s set our standard as beauty unaltered not only for us but for the next generation of girls. I challenge you to join in and post an unfiltered and unaltered picture on social media with the hashtag #beautyunaltered.
