Mother’s Day is right around the corner and I’m sure some of you (hello, Michael) are still trying to find the perfect Mother’s Day gift. Every year, my little brother texts me the week of Mother’s Day looking for ideas. I’ve already been planning out my gift for the last month and here he is with no idea what to do! I’ll give him a little more slack now that he’s in the Marines and not home. So I went to Instagram and asked all my momma followers, “what do you really want for Mother’s Day?”
I think back to all the gifts we “made” my mom. Yes, I’m sure she treasured them – but what a rip off! A book of coupons for a “night off” of cleaning. Even if we did clean up after dinner, I can promise you she went in and cleaned up all over again.

What Mom Really Wants for Mother’s Day
Remember…I’m not a mom so I’m basing this information off of all the responses I received from my lovely followers! They were all on the same page of what they want! Not one person responded with an at home “spa day” which includes massages from the kids and mom painting her own nails.
Moms Do It All
My mom keeps our family together and there is no doubting that. I mean, who else would wash all the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher to be washed again? Okay, as you know I love adding a little humor and sarcasm to my posts so don’t start jumping to conclusions here!
I love my mom.
My mom knows I love her.
I’m extremely thankful for my mom, our friendship and the extra time we have been able to spend together since moving back home.
All I Want for Mother’s Day is…
“Just a day with my family. Maybe a pedi/mani (it’s been too long!)”
-Ashley, mom of two
“Gift card for a massage!”
-Alexis, mom of two
“I love when I get a pedicure gift card!! A massage gift card would be amazing too!”
-Sara, mom of four
“Pampering! Massage, manicure and pedicure. Coffee delivered to my house. Quiet time. A few hours to shop, alone!”
-Lindsay, mom of two
Give Mom a Break
Moms love being moms (I think?) but just like every other job, they need a break! Help mom relax by letting her kick back and enjoy a manicure, pedicure and massage for all her hard work! Most of all, give mom a day to be kid free! It doesn’t have to be on Mother’s Day because I’ve heard of all the mom-shaming going around and that doesn’t sound like fun.
If you’re not sure where to get a gift card from and you live in Southern New Hampshire, check out Innovations The Salon and Spa in Merrimack, NH. They offer amazing full day and half day spa packages!
I’ve never used Spa Finder but it’s a spa and salon gift card that never expires and is good at thousands of locations. Before purchasing, I would make sure there are participating spa and salons in your area.
